Meetings of the Planning Committee

The Parish Council’s Planning Committee normally meets monthly on the first Monday of each month at 7pm in the Caudwell Day Centre. Other meetings are arranged as and when planning applications require.

The Role of the Planning Committee

The Planning Committee considers and comments on all planning applications and development plans in the Parish Council area. Planning applications relating to Drayton are referred to the Parish Council by the Vale of the White Horse District Council

Drayton voted to adopt its Neighbourhood Development Plan in March 2015. The Plan and the Drayton Design Guide (Appendix D) are especially relevant for all planning applications see the full list of NDP documents at Drayton 2020 / submission-copy

Drayton Conservation Area

Drayton has a designated Conservation Area at the heart of the village. Drayton Parish Council commissioned a professional assessment of the Drayton Conservation Area in 2016 – Drayton Conservation Area Character Assessment
