VACANCIES FOR PARISH COUNCILLORS

There are currently four vacancies on Drayton Parish Council, so we are seeking to co-opt some new councillors. This unpaid position involves working for the local community as part of a team of 11 councillors. Drayton Parish Council usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm in the Caudwell Day Centre.

The work of the council is interesting and varied. It is organised into the following areas i.e. Finance and Personnel, Planning, Rights of Way & Conservation, Public Art, and the Neighbourhood Development Plan. Councillors usually undertake some work between the monthly council meetings.

Residents over the age of 18 can apply to join the council, as can non-residents with substantial links to the parish. The elections team at Vale of White Horse District Council or the Parish Clerk, can provide further information about eligibility.

If you can contribute to the work of the Council and would like to be considered for co-option please email an expression of interest to the Parish Clerk email: clerk@draytonpc.org This should include a few lines about yourself, your links to the parish, your interests and how you feel you can contribute to the PC’s work within the community. You may be asked to address the council at a meeting.
